Description

The KRM thermostat is a mechanical temperature controller designed for use in trace heating applications. Housed in a weather-proof polyester enclosure, it uses a capillary tube to sense temperature changes and switch electrical equipment on and off.

In trace heating applications, the KRM thermostat is used to control the temperature of pipes, tanks, and other equipment. As the temperature around the equipment drops below a set point, the thermostat energizes the heating cables, which then generate heat to maintain a consistent temperature. As the temperature rises above another set point, the thermostat de-energizes the heating cables or mats, which stops the flow of heat.

The KRM thermostat is a reliable and cost-effective option for trace heating applications, as well as for controlling heaters, fans, motors, and other equipment based on temperature in air, liquids, and on various surfaces.
