Since Extronics joined BARTEC, John Hartley, Extronics CEO, has played a key role in ensuring a smooth transition and continued success, most recently serving as BARTEC Sales & Marketing Director for Enterprise Mobility, Connectivity and Automation (EMCON). Founded in 1992 as a product reseller, Extronics, has evolved under John Hartley’s leadership into a global leader in Hazardous Area Wireless and IoT solutions. From launching its first wireless solution in 2005 to its recent integration with BARTEC, John has driven the company’s mission to enhance connectivity, safety, and trust across process industries. Partnering with BARTEC, renowned for its 50-year legacy and global presence in over 30 countries, was a natural fit, aligning shared values and digital ambitions. Per-Erik Nilsen, new Global Sales Director EMCON

Since John Hartley is retiring effective November 1st 2025, Per-Erik Nilsen assumes the role of Global Sales Director EMCON. Since joining BARTEC in 2019 and, in the last years, heading global connectivity and IoT, Per-Erik has played a key role in advancing wireless integration and digital solutions. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening customer partnerships and positioning BARTEC as the trusted leader in hazardous-area technologies.
