BARTEC First to Release Android 15 on Mobile Devices for Zone 1/Div. 1 hazardous areas

BARTEC SP9EX1 and BARTEC SC9EX1 with Android 15

We’re proud to announce that BARTEC is the first in the industry to release Android 15 on intrinsically safe mobile devices for hazardous environments.

Starting mid-July, the BARTEC SP9EX1 Smartphone and BARTEC SC9EX1 Smartscanner will receive the upgrade. The rollout will be made available over-the-air (OTA), ensuring a smooth and seamless upgrade process for users in the field.

The BARTEC SP9EX1 Smartphone and BARTEC SC9EX1 Smartscanner are the most compact, high-performance Android devices certified for Zone 1/Div. 1 use — and now they’re getting even better with Android 15, with enhanced security, improved performance, and the latest Android features
