The p operator panel is designed for optional use with the new generation of Ex p control systems. It is used for displaying and visualizing system-specific pressures, as well as for displaying parameters, plain-text messages, and system statuses.
The p operator panel can be connected directly to the Ex p control unit, which supplies it with the required intrinsically safe voltage.
Variants of the p Operator Panel
The p operator panel is available in two versions:
Version I – Front Panel Mounting
The front panel mounting version is secured to doors or adjacent walls, for example by means of the mounting brackets attached to the protective enclosure. The maximum connection length between the p operator panel and the Ex p control system is 2 m.
Version II – Front Panel Installation
The front panel installation version is supplied without a protective enclosure and can be installed directly into the door of the p‑protected equipment or enclosure, for example.
